This one-of-a-kind coastal wood doll, ‘Wave Dancer,’ is the first in this series of unique sculptures created by artist Catherine Herrera in San Francisco.

‘I just love Wave Dancer, her energy and spirit speak to the freedom being by the ocean can invoke, moving bodies to dance, and let go. That is the experience that ‘Wave Dancer’ invokes.

This piece was exhibited at the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum in Berkeley, CA from December 2015-March 2016.
